Trying to start a nonprofit can be confusing! 

While people do not like to hear this advice, it is sometimes better to join an existing group rather than try to start a new organization.  

According to the The National Center for Charitable Statistics the IRS will soon release a list of organizations that have had their federal tax-exempt status automatically revoked for failing to file an annual information return or notice with the IRS for three consecutive years!
